Notre-Dame de Paris, the musical spectacular based on the Victor Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, is finally coming to Japan for the first time. The music was composed by Richard Cocciante and the lyrics are by Luc Plamondon. Since the first performance in 1998, the show has attracted more than 8milion people in 15 countries.
The show incorporates more than 50 arias of operatic beauty and resonance - combined with acrobatic contemporary dance choreography. It will be performed in English in its adaptation by acclaimed songwriter Will Jennings. (writer of My Heart Will Go On for Titanic)
